Investor FAQ and glossary

Answers for investors following Minas Americas.

Start with the investment case, go deeper into the technical record, or clarify ownership, funding and how to follow future results.

The investment case

What supports the thesis—and what could break it.

01What is the investment hypothesis?

Minas Americas has produced enough early geological and diagnostic evidence to justify serious follow-up. Future value depends on establishing scale, continuity, representative recovery, manageable impurities, a credible product route, permits, economics and financing.

02Why do magnet rare earths matter?

Nd and Pr are important inputs to high-performance permanent magnets; Dy and Tb can improve performance at elevated temperatures. Supply concentration rises further downstream into separation and magnet manufacturing. Read the source in context

03Why might Minas Americas be different?

The 8 September 2026 release reports 146 holes and 1,299 assayed metres, bringing cumulative reported assay drilling at Minas Americas to 443 holes and 3,628.8 metres. Five of seven RC holes returned 7-29 metre intervals averaging 0.53%-0.77% TREO to their current end-of-hole depths, and six of seven returned more than 4,000 ppm TREO in their final assayed metre. The project also has selected diagnostic solution responses that warrant representative metallurgy. Those facts merit follow-up; they do not establish a resource, continuity or recovery. 04What is the strongest current evidence?

MAV_AD_0375 returned 15 metres from surface to EOH at 11,480 ppm TREO (1.15% TREO) and 2,830 ppm MREO. MAV_RC_0012 returned 29 metres from 31 metres to the 60-metre EOH at 5,751 ppm TREO (0.58% TREO) and 1,346 ppm MREO. They are selected head-grade drilled intervals, not project averages, recovery results or evidence of economics. Read the source in context

05Which result would most increase conviction?

A defensible mineral resource combined with representative, element-by-element recovery and a complete impurity mass balance would materially improve the ability to assess potential value.

06Which result would most reduce conviction?

Insufficient geological continuity or low and inconsistent recovery of Nd, Pr, Dy and Tb across representative material would directly weaken the thesis.

Technical questions

How to read the drilling, metallurgy and impurity data.

01How should the first RC results be read?

Five of seven RC holes returned 7-29 metre intervals averaging 0.53%-0.77% TREO to their current end-of-hole depths, and six of seven returned more than 4,000 ppm TREO in their final assayed metre. Comparable grades below current EOH depths and continuity between holes remain untested. MAV_RC_0012 includes a documented 30-31 metre no-recovery interval, and no composite crosses it. 02What exactly does the June dataset average describe?

Across the 253-hole June dataset, the disclosed length-weighted averages were 3,640 ppm TREO and 800 ppm MREO. It is a head-grade statistic for the 253-hole June population, not all 297 reported holes, a mineral-resource grade, true thickness or recoverable grade. Read the source in context

03What did the diagnostic leach test measure?

Selected trench material returned primary leach solution concentrations up to 667 mg/kg DREO and 278 mg/kg MREO under a 0.5 M ammonium-sulphate, 30-minute diagnostic test. It measured rare-earth concentrations in primary leach solution from selected trench material under one laboratory condition. Read the source in context

04Why is leachate concentration not recovery?

Recovery is the proportion of the original inventory transferred to a defined output. It requires the original sample mass, solution volume, solids-to-liquid ratio and a complete mass balance. A concentration reported in solution does not supply those quantities.

05What is the current radiological evidence?

In three selected 2025 primary leach solutions, uranium was reported below 0.04 mg/kg in every result; thorium was reported at 2.59 mg/kg, below 0.20 mg/kg and 2.92 mg/kg. Selected diagnostic solution results, not a resource-average or representative radiological dataset. The concentrations do not characterise uranium or thorium in the feed, residue, water, workplace, potential product or property as a whole and do not establish transfer, recovery, mass balance, total radioactivity, product specification, environmental safety or commercial performance. Read the source in context

06Why do uranium and thorium matter to investors?

Their distribution can affect process design, residues, worker controls, permitting, product acceptance and cost. The next useful work is a representative feed–solution–residue–product mass balance. Continue reading

07Why doesn’t Magnes publish peer rankings?

Headline comparisons can mislead when projects differ by stage, sample population, oxide definition or test conditions. A useful comparison must match grade with grade, recovery with recovery and equivalent datasets under current, original sources.

Ownership and access

How Magnes is owned, funded and followed today.

01What is Magnes Rare Earths?

Magnes is a dedicated rare-earth company advancing Minas Americas, an exploration-stage project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Read the source in context

02Is Magnes separately traded?

The 8 September 2026 release described Magnes Rare Earths as a wholly owned subsidiary of Verde AgriTech Ltd. and did not disclose a separately traded Magnes security. This corporate pathway is separate from the technical work programme. No listing has occurred, no date has been disclosed and no timing or outcome is assured. Read the source in context

03What does MREO mean?

MREO is defined as Nd₂O₃ + Pr₆O₁₁ + Dy₂O₃ + Tb₄O₇. It is a reporting definition, not “magnet grade,” recovery or a product specification. Read the source in context

04Is there a mineral resource or mine plan?

No mineral resource, mineral reserve, project economics, production guidance or development decision has been disclosed for Minas Americas. Read the source in context

05Who is funding the work?

The parent company reported that a 2026 financing was intended to support Minas Americas drilling, metallurgical testing and technical de-risking alongside working capital and general corporate purposes. No separately disclosed Magnes budget, ring-fenced funding amount or runway was identified. Parent-level liquidity and debt do not constitute a Magnes funding commitment, and future work may require additional capital with possible dilution or structural consequences. Continue reading

Glossary

Terms that drive different economic conclusions.

These definitions are simplified; the issued release and applicable reporting standards govern.

TREO
Total rare earth oxides as defined in the applicable disclosure. TREO alone does not describe basket value.
MREO
Nd₂O₃ + Pr₆O₁₁ + Dy₂O₃ + Tb₄O₇ in the disclosed project definition. It is not “magnet grade.”
DREO
The company’s disclosed desorbable rare-earth-oxide measure in the selected diagnostic solution context; not recovery or proof of economic ionic processing.
Head grade
The concentration in the original solid sample before processing.
Drilled interval
Length measured along the drill hole; not necessarily true thickness.
Leachate concentration
Concentration measured in a test solution under stated conditions; not a recovery percentage.
Extraction or desorption
The measured fraction of the original inventory transferred into solution under a defined test.
Flowsheet recovery
The fraction reaching a defined product after all process stages and losses.
Payable recovery
The portion for which a customer would pay after specifications, impurities and commercial deductions.
Mineral resource
A formal concentration estimate meeting an applicable reporting standard; none has been disclosed for Minas Americas.
